Aere Tai provides community based education services at Early Childhood (ECE) level right up to adult education. 

Education services include ESOL (English as a second language) for adults, before school, after school and holiday programmes, early childhood education, Pasifika playgroup, Pasifika PowerUP and education support for Pasifika students.


Adult education

Aere Tai offers a range of adult education courses including ESOL (English as a second language), employment skills and courses for Pasifika language and culture. Adult Education is Pacific-focused and taught by Pacific tutors with emphasis on culture and Pacific values.

Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Education (ECE) for young children (0 – 5yrs old) is offered by Aere Tai. Services work to support, encourage and inform families to develop children, using a combination of child led teacher guided and directed activities based on the children’s interests.

Aere Tai provides education support for Pasifika students and families where possible. We work closely with education providers from early learning right through to secondary school to ensure families are engaged in education and learning opportunities are strengthened throughout a child’s education until finishing secondary school.

Pasifika playgroup

Pasifika playgroup provides an environment where parents can come and bring their young children (1-4yrs old) to play with other Pasifika children. Children get valuable educational and social experiences and parents get to meet and make new friends and share experiences.

Pasifika Power Up is a national education programme that actively supports Pasifika parents and families to champion their children’s learning, and provides academic support for secondary and primary students.
