Health promotion programmes – children

We provide a range of health promotion services to improve nutrition and increase physical activity within our communities. Children's sessions are normally held at ECE centres and schools and include a range of activities to improve healthy lifestyles and health checks from our Registered Nurses.

Under 5 Energize

Under 5 energize is a project that works alongside early childhood centres to improve healthy eating and increase the quality and quantity of physical activity, both planned and spontaneous. Under 5 Energize focuses on more active play every day, choosing water and milk as drinks, having less sweet drinks, eating fruit and vegetables daily and less sugary snacks, and spending less time in front of the TV or computer.

Team Energize

Team Energize is a programme that works with primary school children to improve child health by increasing physical activity levels and improving nutrition. The programme works with students, teachers, parents and the wider community offering support where it is needed. Resources are provided to schools and parents, and education sessions are delivered to parents and community relating to key healthy eating messages.
