Smoking cessation services provide support and education to individuals, families, friends, groups and organisations so people can make informed decisions about quitting smoking.
We respect the choice to quit and provide a user friendly service to assist people regardless of age, ethnicity and medical status. Giving up smoking is a personal choice which may be for health reasons, to save money or for family. Whatever the reason we can help.
Aere Tai Quitcard providers offer face-to-face support for people who want to quit smoking and distribute Quitcards for subsidised nicotine patches gum and lozenges.
Smoking cessation services focus on:
- Face-to-face support
- Distribution of Quitcards for prescriptions of subsidised nicotine patches, gum and lozenges
- 1 on 1 or group support with individually tailored quit programmes
- Specialised Pacific services that are open to everyone in the community
