Relay for Life
Relay for Life is an inspiring annual community event that gives everyone a chance to celebrate cancer survivors and carers, remember loved ones lost to cancer; and fight back by raising awareness and funds to support the work of the Cancer Society.
On the 12th March 2016, we felt privileged as Kaute Pasifika Staff along with our families and friends became part of this fun and exciting event. There were a total 35 of us, including our children taking turns walking, running the 600 meter course from 10 am till 10:00 pm that night.
The day was filled with laughter, dance exercise, walks, run, karaoke and music and entertainment all throughout the track.
We were very thankful for Big River Catering for supplying the wholesome snacks that sustained us throughout the 12 hours. An event not to be missed and we look forward to next year’s one.
The Relay for Life raised $120,000 and Kaute Pasifika Services is proud to have been part of this effort!
